Our MissionTo provide the opportunity for young adults to develop personal and leadership skills through local community involvement and organizational involvement while expanding the Junior Chamber movement. About the CWC JayceesThe Cayce-West Columbia Jaycees, or Junior Chamber of Commerce, is a non-profit organization that has offered leadership training through community service in the Cayce and West Columbia areas for over 50 years. The Cayce-West Columbia Jaycees give adults, between the ages of 18 and 40, the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service and international connections. With the focus on volunteerism, the Jaycees are enlarging areas of opportunity for adults who want to not only improve themselves but enrich the lives of others. Since 1958, our chapter has donated its time and money to such charities as Relay For Life, SisterCare, Families Helping Families and Jaycee Camp Hope--a camp specifically for mentally challenged children and adults--which is sponsored by the South Carolina Jaycees. CWC Projects & Programs: About the U.S. JayceesThe United States Junior Chamber (Jaycees) gives young people between the ages of 18 and 40 the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community involvement and international connections. Established in 1920 to provide opportunities for young men to develop personal and leadership skills through service to others, the Jaycees later expanded to include women in 1984, reflecting the growing influence and leadership of women in America. Jaycees can be found in all walks of life: governmental leaders such as past Presidents Bill Clinton and Gerald Ford, business tycoons such as Domino's Pizza mogul Tom Monaghan, registered nurse and former Miss America Kaye Lani Rae Rafko-Wilson, sports heroes like basketball great Larry Bird - name the field and Jaycees can be found at the forefront. With the focus of the nation on volunteerism, from the smallest towns to the largest cities, the Jaycees are enlarging areas of opportunity for young people.
